Good preaching is thought-provoking. Great preaching is motivating and moves hearts to action. It inspires service, offers encouragement, and heals with presence and purpose. At Sunday To Sunday, our goal is to bring you the most inspirational preaching from priests, deacons, laity and youth ministers – homilies that will bring you closer to Christ and nurture a pathway to purposeful living with fervor and joy.
Through an award winning video series, documentaries, podcasts, commentaries and live virtual town hall meetings, you have direct access to Catholic thought leaders with compelling stories of faith and service that will educate, entertain and motivate you to live life as God intended.
Sunday To Sunday was born out of Fr. Mike Russo’s passion for using media platforms to connect great preachers to the broader faith community. He wanted a way to capture and share with others what inspired great preachers and as a result, the transformation of lives. He drew from his 50+ years of experience of working in television, as a journalist, and as a professor to establish our program. His former students both at Saint Mary’s College of California and Seton Hall University are among the over 25 volunteers who have contributed to the success of this Emmy Award winning production and many of his late collaborators and donors are parishioners.
Father Mike Russo founded Sunday To Sunday the preaching journey. He listened to “A Joyful Noise” on KDFC Classical California to ready himself for Sunday Mass. Choral music reminded him of the hours of practice as a second tenor in his Seminary choir. His rehearsal for preaching was essential for the 9:30 AM Mass in the Rosary Chapel, Santa Catalina School, Monterey. His ideas about media & ministry began as early as high school and in the 1970s with “N.J. Catholic,” a pioneering cable-TV discussion program on religion.
